Day 119 Super Sketchy Sunday....

Here is my quick post for today - 3 cards this weekend - it was nice to be able to play along @ 365 Cards, especially since I need so many cards lately - lots of birthdays and celebrations that's for sure!

Here is Pams posted sketch:

And here is my card.  I kept it very simple, I have wanted to try and make the rolled paper flowers that I see around lately - so here are the ones that I made - I inked the edges and filled up the middles with some mini embellishments from stampin bella - you could use anything in the middle - the possibilities are endless. I used threading water punch, some ribbon and a rub on - this card is done.  Oh and I turned the sketch around!

Hope you are having a great Sunday ~ thanks for stopping by!

***update: This card won top trio @ 365 Cards - card of the week award ~ the most inspirational group of cardmakers ever!!! Thank you!

RaNSom NOTE...Day 118

Well this was a fun card to do - Ransom Note @ 365 Cards for day 118 - all you had to do was cut out some letters "ransom note" style for your card - oh what fun! I used some basic grey paper and coloured a digi image from Dawn Moore at Lost in Paper Scraps. I also used MS loopy punch and draped the pattern paper over the back of the card and added a loopy punched edge.

Hope your day is awesome! Thanks for stopping by!

5 Favs @ 365 Cards

Well this card challenge at 365 Cards will make you think so be sure to give it a try! I like a lot of different things when it comes to making cards and I don't really have specific favorites but I gave it my best shot.
Favorite Colour - I really do like green
Favorite Embilishment - I like bling or spica (glitter) pen
Favorite Sentiment - don't have a fav but went with 'hello' on this
Favorite shape/size - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 folded on top
Favorite tool - cuttlebug

For my card I used some basic grey (one of my favs) lime ricky and some green cardstock.  I used the cuttlebug/swiss dots on the green circle and used the cuttlebut with some other dies to cut the other circles.  The image is from Dawn Moore  coloured with copic markers and the bling is recollections

Here is my card - thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

BIG Birthday Card ....happy birds!

Happy Sunday - today I made a card for a challenge at 365 Cards - haven't had the chance to make a card for a challenge for quite some time!  I needed to make a birthday card and I wanted to make a big card! So it fit for the challenge that Pam had on day 97.  The card needs to be 8.5 x 5.5 - that's it! Making a card this size is fun and it costs the same to mail as 5.5 x 4.25 ...ok that is provided you don't weight it down with a ton of emblishments!

For my card I used bazzil card stock & the Basic Grey line Green at Heart.  The orange is sage (I can't make the connection to the colour orange and the name sage but hey who am I to judge?!) the green is moss and the multicolour is vert.  The images are by Dawn Moore Lost in Paper Scraps - thanks again Dawn! Images are coloured with copics, matted & pop dotted.

Here is my card - thanks for stopping by & have a great Sunday!

My Daughters Wedding

My daughter Chantel got married on May 23rd - everything was beautiful but of course nothing was as beautiful as the bride herself!
I used a kit from Studio Gypsy - Contradiction; it is so beautiful, full of pretty flowers, whimiscal flowers, hearts and of course bling!...and more bling!!!

The lettering is Glassy Alpha by Linda Roos, I think its pretty cool!

I hope my pages will improve - keep watching!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great weekend!

I WON A GREAT LOTTERY PRIZE!!!!

Most of you know that I am trying to learn digital scrapbooking - (aka photoshop)!  One of my favorite sites is Studio Gypsy. Lisa puts together these amazing kits - I strive to one day have my pages look as georgous as some of the postings on her blog....one day...some day....maybe....but I'm gonna try!  I have taken a course at Jessica Sprague and I think it boils down to practice, practice, practice!   ....ok I see I'm getting off track here....Lisa had a lottery and I was lucky enough to win the top prize!  I get full access to everything that Lisa has created and has in her store...but wait...FOR A FULL YEAR!!!!
I am so excited!
I've made a promise to myself to do at least one page per week, I figure it will help me learn and my pages can only get better!
So if you are into digital scrapbooking - follow along and lets see what you create.  If you need supplies to get you started check out Studio Gypsy (link is on my sidebar) - you will not be disappointed!
